Biography
Born January 28, 1969, the fifth of six children, in Milwaukee, WI. Began working with my dad in the grocery business at age 12 and continued there part-time throughout college to help pay for school. Graduated with a 3.2 grade average from the University of Wisconsin in 1991, returned to Milwaukee, and eventually assumed the management position of my parent’s grocery store. Began publishing The Sphere in 1993, which marked the beginning of my creative contributions to American culture. Married Victoria Hoffmann in November 1997. Accepted employment at St. Veronica School in Milwaukee as Junior High Language Arts teacher in January 2002. Welcomed our first daughter in May 2003. Resigned from teaching position to become full-time stay-home-dad in June 2003. Relocated to the Kickapoo Valley in July 2004 for a job in the art department at CROPP Cooperative in La Farge, WI. Welcomed second daughter in February 2006. Aside from art, my interests include making music with friends and enjoying the outdoors hiking, biking, canoeing, gardening, and cultivating native Wisconsin prairie plantings with my wife and daughters.
