Colophon

by Mike Koppa last modified 2008-02-26 22:51

Set primarily in Verdana (or whatever else you've got going on with your browser, which makes design of a web site sort of futile) with Trade Gothic, and various Centuries for display, using Adobe software and Plone templating (Jack-of-Several-Trades, yes...but not a "real" web developer) on a puter in a small room with lots of books in it, most of which I haven't read. Not because I don't want to read them, but more because I have trouble reading. 1. I have created many other priorities for myself because 2. Imagination gets in the way of comprehension unless writing is especially interesting and captivating. It's almost like an attention deficit, but don't call it a disorder. I'm in order. As in order as most folks. Sure, there are lots of people more in order than I am, but there're probably just as many out of order. Maybe more. Are you out of order? Of course not! You've gravitated to The Heavy Duty Press!!!

The Heavy Duty Press is a private press, employing 20th
century letterpress technology for fine press books and
21st century digital technology for conceptual artist's books
and the maintenance of this unbelievable web site.

In addition, this site serves as a virtual gallery for the collage art
of Mister Koppa, and an outlet for Heavy Duty Fashion.

We also provide commercial service for logo development,
newsletters, brochures, cd packaging, and other printed matter.

And as if that's not enough astonishment from one web site,
we conduct related Agrieco Art at Heavy Duty Acres through
strategic landscaping and gardening, and the restoration and
encouragement of native prairie plants through gathering
and broadcasting seeds and setting fire to the land.

We are in favor of agrarianism and organic agriculture,
so much so that we've given this valuable space to calling
your attention to it. Let's be stewards of the earth.

This site is and always will be continually, patiently, and
alphabetically (so to speak) under construction.

We hope you enjoy your visit to The Heavy Duty Press
and thank you for stopping. Peace be with you.

Tangentially yours,
Mister Koppa
