Welcome to the Machines
Wisconsin's beautiful driftless region, home to a winding system of state highways and county roads, provides the perfect setting for a gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts. Wrenchers of vintage motorcycles of all makes are especially invited to make the trip—not only for the enjoyable ride, but to show their machines, meet fellow vintage appreciators, and join us for a community picnic on the grounds of the Forgotten Works Warehouse.
Like last year, the event will feature a "History of Motorcycling in Wisconsin" exhibit and we will have one of Brammo's first 100% Electric Motorcyles on display. This year S&S Cycles of neighboring Viola, Wisconsin, will have an exhibit and maybe offer a ride to their plant in the middle of nowhere and a visit to their own motorcycle history museum.
In addition to motorcycles, this year's event will also include a family bike ride at 11 a.m., the debut exhibit of Gary Ortman's surrealist collages, a screening of the independent film, American Cafe, live bluegrass music, delicious food, and a 50/50 cash raffle.
This year Lorem Ipsum is being presented by La Belle Masonic Lodge #84 of Viroqua, Wisconsin. All profits from the sale of food and raffle tickets will be donated to their college scholarship fund for local high school students.
People inclined to find Lorem Ipsum on Facebook will find a Lorem Ipsum page to like, and an event to confirm attendance. We do appreciate all confirmations of attendance on Facebook because it helps us plan the food and beverage quantities.
We hope to see you there!
